A New Addition Is Coming to NOVA's MA Campus ... Harry J. Parrish Hall
Opening in spring of 2012, Harry J. Parrish Hall will add 55,000 square feet of academic space to the Manassas Campus. An additional 2,500 square feet will house the new Barnes & Noble bookstore.
The building will contain twelve computer-based laboratories, fourteen lecture rooms, four biology laboratories, a combined electronics and engineering laboratory, an art studio as well as faculty and staff offices.
Parrish Hall will also receive its LEED Silver Certification when occupied.
The Manassas Campus extends our gratitude to the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the General Assembly for making Harry J. Parrish Hall a reality.
Who is Harry J. Parrish?
Mr. Parrish served as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from 1982 until 2006, representing the 50th District which includes the Cities of Manassas, Manassas Park and part of Prince William County.
Mr. Parrish lived his entire life in service to his country, his state, his community, his church and his family. He was a strong advocate and supporter of education and of Northern Virginia Community College. It is for these reasons the Northern Virginia Community College Board has approved the naming of Academic Building Phase III for Harry J. Parrish.
